Castles And Chateaux (PAL)

The Czech Republic is a country in the very heart of Europe. Although small in size, it boasts of a history spanning more than a millennium. Thanks to its uniquely preserved architectural monuments the country is a genuine paradise for tourists, offering them countless sites to admire.

Castles and Chateaux are the most frequently visited landmarks in the Czech Republic. Indeed, there are more than 100 chateaux and 200 castles and ruins in the country. This documentary presents the country's most important cultural monuments of great artistic and historical value which often feature rich exhibitions as well. In its first part we will visit the Prague Castle, Karlstejn, Konopiste, Krivoklat, Zleby, Frydlant, Mnichovo Hradiste, Sychrov, Loket, Cesky Krumlov, Hluboka, Orlik, Rozmberk, Kuks, Opocno, Jaromerice, Pernstejn, Hradec nad Moravici, Kromeriz, Lednice, Valtice, and Vranov nad Dyji.

The second part will take us to other major historical monuments, such as Zvikov, Kost, Cheb Becov nad Teplou, Kynzvart, Jindrichuv Hradec, Trebon, Kratochvile, Cervena Lhota, Veltrusy, Jemniste, Detenice, Spilberk in Brno, Telc, Bouzov, Bruntal, Velke Losiny, Buchlov, Buchlovice, the Lednice-Valtrice area, and Mikulov.
